The Octagon House Inventory Book

A permanent record of locations and histories of all known octagon houses (nearly 1000) built in the U.S. and Canada between 1848 and 1920.

Historian Ellen L. Puerzer been interested in the historic structures since 1976 and compiled information from this website, old newspapers and her own archives. Handy 312 page trade paperback with index for easy reference, and with updated locations and info not on the website.
