Wolfeboro. Octagon house. Built in 1870, by Charles E. Ham. Sold in 1872 to Oliver Dowlin, a doctor. By 1939 the house was owned by The Christian Science Society, which proceeded to convert the first floor to just one large room. Located at the corner of Green and S. Main Streets. Two story.

Manchester. Octagon house. Built in the early 1870s. Located at 481 Hanover. Two story. A third story or attic, with dormers on four sides, is inside a Mansard roof. Cupola. Porch on one side. Brick construction. Another octagon structure behind it. Two story, with a cupola.

Portsmouth. Octagon house. Built in 1813 by joiner Johnathan Folsom, and then sold to Thomas Haven house. Demolished in 1865. Only partially octagonal. Located at the corner of Middle and Richards Street.

The photo at the left is circa 1900. The one on the right is contemporary. It's unknown for now whether the house ever had a cupola or a porch. When the 1900 photograph was taken the house was already 50 years old, and the porch might have rotted away. This happened often as not.
