- Elgin. Octagon house. Built in the 1850s for Rudolphus & Mary Padelford, who
occupied the house until 1875. It was then a bording house from 1879 until it burned in 1897.
Located on the corner of Chapel and Fulton. ( 1880 streets and names. )
